Meet the Characters
Lauren:
Lauren is a single mom going through a divorce and trying to figure out just how she’s going to do this on her own. She left her husband after a long period of emotional and physical neglect, but there is still a part of her who will always love him. It’s that part of her which fantasizes about him finally coming around and seeing the missteps he has taken and becomes the man Lauren dreams he could be. Lauren is witty, silly, playful, but more than anything else, she’s just looking for the one person in this world who will love her like no other.
Adam:
Adam is a single dad who is just trying to find his place in the world. He has a very powerful past, yet his strength keeps him together and motivates him to find the perfect woman for him and his son. Adam is romantic, loving, and very caring. He’s not the tattooed, motorcycle riding bad boy we read over and over again, but he’s a real guy. He’s got his shit together, his head is in the right place, he’s a total smartass, and he is amazing in bed…is there really anything better?
When their paths cross, Adam and Lauren will quickly learn they are absolutely perfect for one another, but they are just not meeting at the right time. However, chemistry is what it is, and the two quickly form an explosively powerful bond which will rock their souls and lead them on a journey hunting for true, everlasting love.

“Whatever! My soccer-mom
mini-van rocks. Now, since I didn't
welch on our bet, and I did exactly what I was supposed to do, do I get my
prize?”
I knew exactly what she was referring to, but I couldn't give in that
easily. “And what prize is that?” I asked.
She placed the tip of her index finger on my chest and slowly dragged
it down my button-line as she said, “I want my Longer Than Necessary Lingering
Hug.”
I stepped even closer to her, placing my hands on her hips and slowly
sliding them around to her back. I moved
in until our bodies were pressed together.
As I grabbed her tightly around her lower back, she wrapped her arms
around my neck. We both pulled the other
in tight and just held one another in the vacant parking lot.
Lauren started to release her grip, and I pulled her tighter and
whispered in her ear, “Not yet.” She
responded only by hugging me tighter than I had been hugged in a very long
time.
I softly kissed her neck, and I kissed again, only slightly higher
toward her ear. I then gently kissed her
cheek, inching closer to her lips with each kiss, until she suddenly turned her
head for our lips to delicately meet.
I tenderly kissed her lips as I brushed my thumb along her cheek
bone. I don't think I was able to kiss
her lips more than three or four times before we erupted into a passionate,
beautiful kiss. I felt like I was on a
plummeting roller coaster, with my stomach dropping as our tongues met for the
first time. Never in my life had I felt
a kiss like this, and the intensity grew with each fleeting second.
She placed her hands flat
against my chest, touching me as our lips and tongues drove each other
wild. I lowered my hand and groped her
through her dress. I realized we were in
an open parking lot, but my lust commandeered all control of my senses. I placed my hand under her dress and firmly
caressed the back of her leg until I reached her smooth ass. I slid my hand under her panties, and she raised
her knee, rubbing the inside of her thigh against my leg.
“Adam, I want you,” she softly groaned.
Squeezing the grip my hand had on her ass was my only response, and
my other hand, which was on her ribs, moved up to her breasts.
“Oh my God, I want you,” she groaned again. “But I can't.”
“Don't do anything you aren't ready for,” I reluctantly said.
At that moment, I wanted her more than anything, but I also didn't
want her to do anything she wasn't fully comfortable with. I wanted her badly, but I also wanted her to
take her time.
“I'm sorry, but I'm married.”
“But you’re separated, aren't you?”
“Yes, I am,” she said. “But I
am still married. I want this to be
right, in every way. There's something
about you; I don't know what it is, but there's something about you that just
feels so right. Everything about you
feels right, and I really don't want to risk ruining this.”
“There's something about you, too,” I told her. “And I definitely don't want you to fuck this
up.”
“Thank you,” she said with a sigh of relief. “But I like the way I worded it a little bit
better.”
“You say tomato, and I say tomato,” I said, now realizing that the
line made a lot more sense in our verbal dialogue than it does written
here. I went on, “Can I just ask you one
thing?”
“You can ask me anything, Adam.”
I gave her a devilish smirk and a sly wink as I asked, “Would a
blowjob fuck it up?”
“Some..... thing.... else!” she chuckled. “Remind me again why I like you?”
“Aha! You just admitted you like me!”
“I do, a lot!” she whispered with a final soft kiss on my lips. “But I'm about to turn back into a pumpkin,
as, you so eloquently put it, even though I think it's the carriage that turned
back into a pumpkin and not Cinderella.”
“You're seriously correcting me, Miss Livingstone?”
“Good night, Mister Smart-ass,” she said as she opened the door to
her mini-van and sat in the driver's seat.
“Good night. Text me when
you're home, so I know you're safe,” I said as I closed the door for her.
I started walking back to my own car, and I wasn't more than ten or
fifteen feet from Lauren's mini-van when she lowered the window and called to
me, “Adam!” She paused for a moment and
continued, “I like you,” as I looked back to her.
“I like you, too, Lauren.”
I got home and set my keys on the kitchen counter just as I was
receiving her text: “I'm home safe. Can't
wait to dream of you. XOX!”

those who don’t already know you, let’s just start by telling us who you are
and a little about yourself…
Hey! My name is
Anthony Bryan, I’m a writer, and I love dishing out stories that keep you
coming back for more. I’m 28, Irish/Brit
but now living in the United States, and I like to think of myself as a pretty
interesting guy. So, stick around and
get to know me!
“Walk
Through My Door’ is your second book, and judging by the synopsis, it’s quite
different than your first, “The Suicide Princess.” What kind of experience are you hoping to
give readers through this book, and all of your stories?
Any time I write, I like to give the reader a story which
does three things: entertains the shit out of them, makes them think, and makes
them feel raw, hard emotion. “The
Suicide Princess” was all about a seemingly innocent love story that takes a
crazy turn and keeps you wondering what the fuck is happening. It was all about making you feel lust, hate,
anger, and the thirst for revenge. “Walk
Through My Door” is a different kind of story, but it’s just as powerful. It’s the story of two very real people who
are falling in love when one isn’t quite ready.
In this one, I want you to feel love, and I want you to feel that
emotion when you want someone so bad it hurts, even if they’re just out of your
reach.
Walk Through My Door also has something I’m calling Enhanced
Playlist Experience. It’s a unique, and
pretty clever way to combine an amazing book with an amazing soundtrack which
you can listen to as you read. Once you
experience it, books will never be the same!
You
took some much needed time off. How did
you find the motivation to get back into your groove?
I had some personal issues going on in my life, so I had to
take a little bit of a hiatus from writing and promoting. But it was good, and I was able to get my
head back to where it needs to be to do this right. I’d rather just walk away from something than
do it half-assed. If I’m going to do
something, it’s going to be amazing or nothing at all! And I’m not just back but I’m fucking back,
and I’m here to kill it!
Where
do you find creative inspiration from? What
is your process for taking your thoughts and ideas and transforming them into
well-rounded stories?
I’m asked this all the time, and the simplest answer is from
music. I’ll hear a song, and the lyrics
will inspire me to imagine a story to go along with the tune. By the end, I’ll think “Holy shit! That would
be an amazing story!” Before long, I’m
pouring through the idea to make it work.
I also find a lot of inspiration from my life and personal
experiences. I tend to leak into my
characters an awful lot.
The musical inspiration is what prompted the Enhanced
Playlist Experience feature in my new book… I promise you: you guys are going
to LOVE this!
Tell us
what true love means to you…
True love is seeing someone for who they are, accepting
their faults and flaws, and taking the other person just the way they are. It’s easy to “love” someone when everything
is rosey and wonderful, but if you think it’s cute when she farts under the
covers while she’s sleeping, THAT is true love!
It’s all about being a team, accepting and tackling the challenges of
life together, and loving those gross, smelly little flaws.
Do you
believe it’s possible to be in love with more than one person? Do you believe in soulmates?
My short answer is yes, but my long answer is no. If it’s true love, the kind that rocks you to
your soul, there’s only one. But
sometimes life isn’t so simple and clear cut; there can be overlap. “Walk Through My Door” looks at that issue
when Lauren, one of the lead characters, is falling in love with Adam, but
she’s still in the process of falling out of love with her last. Is it possible to begin falling in love with
a new person while falling out of love with the last? Absolutely, and that overlap can be an
incredibly painful journey that I think we’ve all been through at least
once. I’m telling you, this book is
about real people, real love, and real emotions!
Writing
from both a man’s and woman’s POV, how different do you think men and women’s
fantasies are?
I think our fantasies are usually very similar, we just
perceive them in different ways. Men are
more enticed by what we can see and physically feel – we’re tactile and visual
creatures. Women, on the other hand, are
more in tune with what they can emotionally feel. For women it’s more about connection. So, while a lot of the fantasies maybe the
same, the reason for them, and the role of each, can be quite different. Getting that balance right is the tough part
about writing for both sides!
Can you
give us a little taste of your own personal sexual fantasies? Have they been fulfilled?
I have a very dominant sexual personality. I am not controlling yet I’m always in
control in the bedroom. I want what I
want, and I know how to get it. But, and
this is a big but, it’s always reciprocal – if you give me what I crave, it’s
only fair that I do the same in turn.
Each of
the five senses play such an important and intricate role in the bedroom. If you had to give up one of your senses
(sight, smell, hearing, tough, or taste) during sex, which would it be and why?
That would easily be taste… I like to put my tongue in some
very naughty places, and that wouldn’t always be a bad thing ;)
What is
typically the first thing you notice about a girl? What are your favorite physical and
non-physical attributes?
Sense of humor! I
love, love, love a girl that knows how to be goofy, play, and have fun! My favorite physical feature… I’m so an ass
man!
When do
you feel you are most attractive –clean shaven and in a suit and tie, or jeans
and a tee-shirt?
My best look is a little scruff, a snug tee, some faded worn
jeans, and a kickass pair of chucks.
It’s just the look that works for me.
But that said, I do clean up quite nicely.
A movie
is being made about you – who is the actor to play your role?
He’s gone now, but James Dean all the way!
If you
were granted one super power, what would it be?
To be able to freeze time… Just imagine the kind of shit you
could do with that power!
Your
fans are so excited to have you back!
What can you promise to bring them in 2015?
2015 is a big year for me.
Out now is Walk Through My Door which is going to absolutely blow you
away. It’s an integrated reading/musical
experience unlike anything you’ve ever enjoyed!
But my next published release will be The Heart of Kyle, and that is
going to kill it – it’s truly my masterpiece.
