Complicating matters, Michael is still attached to his ex-girlfriend and Julien is the most sought after bachelor in Manhattan. Meet & Connect With Zack Love

Zack Love graduated from Harvard College, where he studied mostly literature, psychology, philosophy, and film. After college, he moved to New York City and took a corporate consulting job that had absolutely nothing to do with his studies. The attacks of September 11, 2001 inspired him to write a novelette titled "The Doorman," and heightened his interest in the Middle East. A decade later, that interest extended to the Syrian Civil war, which provided the backdrop for his latest work. In late 2013, Zack began releasing his unpublished works of fiction and became a full-time author. He has published comedy, psychological and philosophical fiction, and romance. Zack enjoys confining himself to one genre about as much as he likes trying to sum up his existence in one paragraph.

Author Spotlight: Sarah Robinson

The Jazzy World of E's Bookshelf Author Spotlight is on Sarah Robinson today. Robinson is a Amazon Best Selling Author of the books, Sand & Clay, Tainted Bodies and Tainted Pictures. She is getting ready to release the last book in her Photographer Trilogy, Untainted in November. Robinson is also joining together with 11 other authors for a special anthology called Playing with Fire which is also due in November.  She discusses what it feels like ending her Photographer Trilogy and her inspiration behind her stories in my interview with her. It's my pleasure to introduce to you today's Author Spotlight, Sarah Robinson.

Sarah Robinson's Biography

Sarah Robinson is the four-time Amazon Bestselling Author of Sand & Clay, Tainted Bodies, and Tainted Pictures. Her very popular trilogy, The Photographer Trilogy, includes Tainted Bodies, Tainted Pictures, and the not yet released Untainted. Her latest publications include Sand & Clay and Logan’s Story, both in the Sand & Clay Series. All of her novels have reached Amazon’s Bestseller Rank in Crime, Crime, Thriller, Contemporary Romance, and/or Romantic Suspense. She also has a very large social media following, including over ten thousand Facebook fans.

Her writing often concentrates on the complexity of love in emotions, combining psychological complexities and human flaws to create very real characters that readers can relate with. Her work focuses on redemption and forgiveness, learning to build on what has been broken. Her characters are often in conflicting situations, leaving the reader to decide what is right and what is wrong. She uses her stories to hold a mirror up to the reader and ask them to see things they never knew, or had forgotten, about themselves.

Sarah Robinson is a native of the Washington, DC area and has both her Bachelors and Masters Degrees in criminal psychology. She is newly married to her soul mate, Justin, who is just as much of an animal rescue enthusiasts as she is. Together, they own a zoo of rescues including 2 dogs, 7 cats, and 5 turtles, as well as volunteering and fostering for multiple animal shelters.

An Interview with Sarah Robinson

Thank you for taking the time for this interview. You just announced the release date for the final book in the Photographer Trilogy, Untainted, how does it feel wrapping up this series?

It feels like I'm saying goodbye to a huge chapter in my life, friends I've known for years. It's heartbreaking, honestly, and that is why it's taken me so long to finish this final book. It will be the end of their story, there will be a follow up scene in the box set, but there will be no sequels or prequels or anything like that. So, it's just very difficult to say goodbye to a series I love, characters I love, and the books that first brought me into the writing world.

You have another series as well, Sand & Clay, what was the inspirations for this story?

The inspiration for this series is about choices- they are never black and white, and sometimes there is no right and wrong. Sand & Clay presents a love triangle and Logan's Story explains the start of it. Whoever Logan chooses to be with isn't wrong, no character is fully good and no one is fully bad. I like this series because it causes inner conflict, it makes you question what you think is right and wrong. It makes you look at your own life and what choices could have led you down a completely different path. Plus, who doesn't love a hunky, angst-filled rockstar?

Out of all your books do you have a favorite?

Logan's Story is probably my favorite. It's my best writing to date (published) and it is a genuine story of love, family, loss, and priorities. Aside from Logan's Story, Untainted is becoming one of my favorites. It's been so emotional to write and I think the readers will see a lot more from me in this book then in the first two in that trilogy.

In November you're also going to be part of an Anthology with 11 other authors, how did this project come about?

It was actually my idea, I really wanted a good romantic suspense anthology out there and hadn't seen any that truly caught my eye. Then I got the idea for having them all be firsts in a series, so it's really a great combination. Thankfully I have so many close and wonderful author friends that I just had to ask a few and quickly I had all the spots filled!  It's such an amazing group of women and I'm so honored that they would even give me the time of day, let alone be in a project with me.

How important was it to you to have proceeds of the book go to RAINN, (Rape, Abuse, & Incest National Network)?

Tainted Bodies is the first book in the anthology and it centers around sexual assault, so it has always been a close cause to my heart. I also worked as a counselor with sexual offenders for quite some time- I have a graduate  degree in criminal psychology. So this has always been a field I've been interested in working in.

What do you have planned for your next book?

I have some really exciting projects coming up that I can't talk about just yet but will be announcing soon. I am so unbelievably excited about it and I know my readers will be too. Be prepared for some serious alpha males!

You have been a four-time Amazon best seller, what was your initial reaction to it?
Shock? I mean, I have always loved to write but never in my life did I actually think anyone would read my work. It's an amazing feeling to see the credit of tons of hours of blood, sweat, and tears. Everyone loves to be appreciated, it's just an honor overall.

I’ve read that you like to write real characters that readers can relate to, do you gather inspiration from your own experiences or from people around you?

Both, some characters are based on parts of me, others are based on parts of people I know. I wouldn't say that there is any character I've written that has been 100% like someone I know or like me, it's more that I mix together a bunch of things I've experienced or seen and create a unique world out of it. I worked as a counselor with sexual offenders, schizophrenics, and all sorts of other mental illnesses so I have a lot of very unique stories, personalities, and experiences to draw from. I think that readers like characters that they can imagine and relate to, rather than reading about billionaires or things like that. I mean, don't get me wrong, every once in a while it is nice to read an escape book and put yourself in some rich heiress's shoes who falls in love with Prince Charming, but come on... that's not real. I like raw and true. It's all I know.

What has been your favorite part of writing and publishing books?

Pressing publish! Knowing a project is as good as you can possibly make it and then handing it out to the world and moving on to the next. It's an amazing accomplishment.  Other than that, I love interacting with readers- like true fans, who actually are genuinely good people. Love it.

Who are the authors who has influenced you as a writer?

-It's too many to count. I would say James Patterson meets Nicholas Sparks is the type of writing I tend to go for.

In 10 words or less can you tell readers why they should read your books?

They are painfully heartbreaking, and heartbreakingly beautiful.
Is there anything you would like to say to you fans and/or readers new to you.

Thank you for supporting me, keeping me writing, and giving me reasons to write! Thanks for allowing me to rip open your heart and then slowly piece it back together again with my stories. It's unbelievably humbling that readers trust authors that much, to give them a piece of their soul- knowing that we are going to break it, hurt it, then heal it. It's a very interesting relationship between authors and readers.

Author Spotlight: Haylie Harbour, Victoria Andrews and Marley Roberts

Today's Author Spotlight includes  the three authors behind the Boyfriend Bookstand Series (BFBS), Haylie Harbour, Victoria Andrews and Marley Roberts.  The three friends joined together and wrote the recently released Grinding in Greenville and Kink vs. Class.  The books follow three best friends from college who have a blog, The Boyfriend Bookstand Blog, as they attend an author event in Greenville, N.C.  The hot, sexy read has received great reviews on Amazon and Goodreads. The ladies of BFBS discuss their unique dynamic when it comes to writing a book and what's ahead for them in the series in my interview with them. Get ready to meet today's Author Spotlightt,
Haylie Harbour, Victoria Andrews and Marley Roberts.

Haylie Harbour, Victoria Andrews and Marley Roberts' Biographies

Haylie Harbour

Haylie contributes the person she is today to the tragic circumstances she faced as a child. She learned at a very young age that life can throw you a curve ball at any moment.

Her motto’s are; “No matter how bad your life may be, someone else has it worse,” and  “Strength,” it’s what gets us through the day.

When she needed an escape she found it through books. She began reading very young and as she got older her taste in books change from sweet and innocent to a little more risqué.

If you saw her today you would probably see her with a book in hand (the dirtier the better). She is an avid reader of anything smut. You name it she’s probably read it.  In more recent years she has acquired a taste for the darker side. She most enjoys it when an author pushes her limits.

She loves the friends she has bonded with through reading and loves lending a helping hand to those in need.

Victoria Andrews

Victoria is a happily married mother of two.  Nothing brings her greater joy than spending time with her family.  Hearing her children laugh is music to her ears. She love's to put on country music and dance around the house with the girls while cleaning, cooking and doing everyday tasks that may seem boring, and mundane to others.

She is often found outside by the pool reading while her girls swim.   Talking to Haylie and Marley on the phone and online or attending their bi- monthly "book club"meeting is her adult time. She say's "I don't know what I'd do without them."  Grinding In Greenville is the first book these three woman have written together, giving y'all a look into what goes on in Tori's seemingly boring life when she winds up with these two crazy women she lovingly call my best friends.

Marley Roberts

Marley Roberts is a free spirited, book junky who loves the male form. The harder the better.

Born and raised on a farm in Woodstock, N.Y. with her father(s), mother, sister, extended family of vagabond, pot smoking, hippy, peace lovers, Marley ran as fast as she could seeking normal at-- COLLEGE??????

What she found was a respite from being judged by small minded asshats, hot ass boys who knew nothing of her past, and two of the best friends a girl could ask for.

Today she spends her day in her penthouse apartment she shares with Haylie. That also serves as Boyfriend Bookstand HEADquarters * wink * reading, hanging out online, and finding new toys (plastic and those of attached to hot, delicious males) to play with and share with her present and future author friends.

Confused? You wont be.

Read my friends and stay beautiful.

An Interview with Haylie Harbour, Victoria Andrews, and Marley Roberts

Thank you for taking the time for the interview. My first question is probably a common one but how is the writing dynamic having three authors for one book?

With the three of us is pretty damn smooth. We know each other in ways best friends do. We know each other secrets, our fears, our pleasures, and hearts. All three of us are aware of our own shortcomings and strengths. We banter back and fourth and yes sometimes argue like family because essentially we are even closer than some families. But we love each other and support each other and get past any squabbles because that’s what best friends do.

As far as the book goes we all have the same vision and the way we have written it, we all have our own voice. None of use are the same and we have embraced that from the day we met and will not stop now. We love that people who have thought it may be confusing with three people having their own part to the story but its not and our reviews have mentions how well it flows. It’s a conversation, a day in the life, a true-ish story about us, how could it not flow. (lol)

You released your first book, Grinding in Greenville this past august what can you tell us about it?

This book isn’t like any others out there. Its three authors, three lead character, three real life best friends journey. Some truth and some fiction. It’s about how our hobby, our guilty pleasure (reading hot books) brings us closer together and gets us through our harsh realities.

The prequel novella to Grinding in Greenville, Kink vs. Class came out shortly after Grinding in Greenville, what inspired you to do a prequel?

We did a prequel so people knew how we came to be. The struggles we over came and to give people who may not want to spend 2.99 on a trio of newbies the opportunity to grab it for .99. Lots of authors have done it so we said hell let’s try it.

Do you have an outline of how many books you want to Boyfriend Book Stand Series? Or are you letting it happen organically as you write them?

We definitely know what is happening in the next two. An outline that will take an organic flow (which is necessary with three authors-personalities) From the beginning it was three. We want to keep it at that but who knows.

Can you tell us anything about your current works in progress?

Hearing it here for the first time *EXCLUSIVE* Book 2 will be released by November . It’s continues right where we leave off in Grinding in Greenville and centers 18th around what becomes of the Morning Grind.

Where did the name Boyfriend Book Stand come?

It came about before we even decided to write. Look at all the social media attention that the hot models, actors, fitness guys get in the book world. We all picture the characters we read about in our heads and they just give more options to (hmm how do we say this appropriately) consider when fantasizing about the hot men in books.  (Fantasy’s may or may not include battery operated paraphernalia).  BFBS also is going to become a business of sorts. I can't tell you anymore about it right now but its pretty hot.

I like looking at a playlist for a book. I saw yours and I liked how the first song on the list is R. Kelly’s Bump n’ Grind. Who’s idea was it to add it to the playlist?

Hailey Harbour did. It’s her inspiration for the scene where she met the very alpha, dominant, (asshole) who banged her stupid in the alley. (Our girls first real orgasm and taste at the darker side of sex. * Fist Bump * get it girl!! )

What has been your favorite part of writing and publishing your books?

Our favorite part of writing has been the ability to see deeper into how each of us felt during certain point in our lives and then giving it a few embellishments to make it hotter. Publishing ? That the fear that readers wouldn’t like it was abolished. Now we need to get the word out that we have arrived (Thanks you Ivy Love)

Who are some of your favorite authors?

Marley- Silvia Day, EL James, CD Reiss, and so many more.
Tori- Stephanie Myers, Jamie McGuire, Marie Forrest
Haylie Harbour- Pepper Winters, Lili St.Germain, Callie Hart and more.

Can you tell readers in 10 words or less why they should read your books?

It’s unique yet brings in what you expect from erotic romance. (Sorry it’s eleven words, but we are kind of rule breakers)

Is there anything you would like to say to your fans and/or readers new to you?

We love to hear what you think. We read every review. Thank you for reading and telling your friends about us.

Author Spotlight: Joanne Jaytaine

Paranormal and Romantic Suspense author Joanne Jaytanie is today's Author Spotlight.  Jaytanie has been writing since high school but she started focusing on writing more after she left her business. Since then she has released  four books including two part of a collection from various authors, Uncharted Love from the Places to See Collection and the newley released Building Up to Love from the Love List Collection. Jaytanie also her her own series The Winters Sisters. Her books combine the paranormal and romantic suspense elements that are full of twists and turns. An subject she talks about more in our interview.  I'm happy to introduce to you today's Jazzy World of E's Bookshelf Author Spotlight on Joanne Jaytanie.

Joanne Jaytanie's Biography

I was born and raised in Sherburne, New York, a quaint village surrounded by dairy farms and rolling hills. From the moment I could read I wanted to explore the world. I slowly crept across the country, stopping along the way in Oklahoma, California, and finally Washington State, which I now proudly call home. I live with my husband and Dobermans, in our home located on the Kitsap Peninsula with a panoramic view of the Olympic Mountains.

I write paranormal and romantic suspense. I love writing about the twists and turns of my character’s lives, the trouble they find themselves involved in, along with building an everlasting relationship. I enjoy a wide variety of books including paranormal, suspense, thriller, and most of all romance.

I am a member of Romance Writers of America, and an active member of Debbie Macomber’s home chapter, Peninsula Romance Writers, where I currently serve as the President.

I have a Bachelors Degree in Business. I spent a number of years in business administration, thirteen of which involved owning our own forensic engineering firm. For the past 30 years I have trained and shown dogs.

I am very involved in the dog world. I have been the president of my local All-Breed Dog Club for a total of nine years. I was nominated as the first American Kennel Club Delegate for this club, and have held this position for nineteen years. I am a member of four other dog clubs and have served in a variety of board positions.

An Interview with Joanne Jaytanie

Your books focus on the paranormal and romantic suspense, what is it about these genres that inspire you as a writer?

Suspense has always been a draw for me. I love to immerse myself in a story, the suspense, tension, danger, and drama, are all pluses in my book. Throw in the paranormal element and you can create heroines and heroes that are larger than life. These two genres give me freedom and opportunity to go in any direction. I have the ability to intertwine a story that you, the reader are never one-hundred percent sure of where it may take you, and that’s what inspires me.

You have the Winter Sister Series and the Places to See Collection; can you tell readers about each?

The Winters Sisters Series is romantic suspense with paranormal elements. The series is about three sisters, all of whom have ‘special’ abilities that each were born with, but may not be natural. The main thrust of the series revolves around the sisters working with an Ă©lite group of military men called SOCOM, which stands for Special Operations Command. The men in this team also possess supernatural abilities. I have slated this series for five full-length novels, with a possible novella.

Uncharted Love is book #4 of the Places to See Collection. Which is a collection of short stories, each written by a different author. It is a contemporary romance series. Five friends have to deal with the death of another friend. That friend’s last request is that each woman takes a little time to enjoy life and go on a vacation. This is a very difficult thing for these women to do, as their lives revolve around their careers.

My newest release is also a short story, Building up to Love, book #4 of The Love List collection. This series is similar to Places to See in that it is written by different authors and has a common theme. It takes place in a small town. Four women become good friends and commiserate over the fact that they haven’t dated for awhile. They decide to pull their resources and drop some names of male friends into a basket. One by one the women draw the name of a man from the basket and must invite this man on a date.

Was writing something you always did or was it something you took up recently after having a business career?

I have written since my freshman year in high school.  I have always loved to write. After my husband and I decided to close down our forensic engineering firm I was lost, wondering what I should do with the rest of my life. I realized that it was the perfect opportunity to finally follow my passion.

I read that you like writing about the twists and turns for your characters. Many readers enjoy a good twist in a book. Is it hard coming up with different scenarios for your characters or do you already have an idea in mind of where you want the story to go when you start?

Twists and turns are my favorite part! When I start my book I have my basic story arc planned, but how I get to the end often changes along the way. If I feel something is too ‘straight line’ I will throw a curve into it. I love when someone says to me, “I didn’t see that coming.” That’s what I work for, to surprise the reader.

Out of all your books, do you have a favorite?

That’s a tough one. Definietly the Winters Sisters is my favorite. I’m not sure I have a favorite of the two. I love Chasing Victory because it is the first and set the premise of my series. I love Payton’s Pursuit because I feel it has more action.

Do you have any current works in progress that you can tell us about?

I am currently working on book #3 of the Winters Sisters. This is Willow’s book. I have also jotted down details and started the first couple chapters of book 4 and 5.

I just submitted my Christmas short story, Christmas Reflections. It is book #1 of the series Forever Christmas.

As an author what has been the best part about writing and publishing your books?

The best part is when a reader tells me they love my book and can’t wait for the next one! That has to be the all-time best part of writing. Sharing something that I love to write and having others love to read it.

Who are some of your favorite authors?

Clive Cussler
Sherrilyn Kenyon
Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child
Too many romance authors to name…

When you’re not writing, how do you like to spend your free time?

I like to spend time with my husband and my Dobermans. Take a walk, go camping, or just sitting out on my back porch. I love to read, work on stained glass, go to the movies and spend time with my family.

In 10 words or less can you tell readers why they should read your books?

This is not your mother’s romance…

Is there anything else you would like to say to your fans or readers who are new to you?

I hope you will give me a try. If you do, please tell me what you think. I love to meet and chat with new people.

Doctor Doolittle in female form creates X-Men on steroids. Murder, kidnapping, and blackmail follow as world-renowned geneticist Victory Winters is forced to pursue her research on canine DNA. Victory is kidnapped and taken to a satellite facility of Biotec, owned by a shadow conglomerate known as The Kaleidoscope Group. To her horror she is presented with human test subjects, two military men who have been injected with this foreign DNA.

Tristan Farraday is a naval officer assigned to a clandestine division of the armed forces, known as SOCOM; Special Operations Command. His primary goal is to expose the players behind a plot to create indestructible soldiers and to secure this research at all costs.

Victory is suspicious and untrusting of Tristan because their initial friendship was built on lies. However, she realizes that in order to save herself and her family she will need his help, and Tristan goes undercover as her research assistant. Working together they fight to save the men injected with the foreign DNA. While inside the Biotec compound Tristan attempts to contact Wyatt telepathically, but is unable to reach him due to a hi-tech security grid. Tristan stumbles upon the fact that Victory has her own telepathic abilities, along with a rare gift of being an amplifier–someone who enhances others’ abilities.
